Product Operations Manager
🚀 About Borderless
At Borderless, we’re building a world where borders are no longer barriers - where anyone can move anywhere, seamlessly and safely.
Founded in 2023, we’ve already helped 600+ UK businesses and 15,000+ individuals navigate the complexity of immigration.
Powered by technology, and supported by an expert team, our platform removes the friction of Home Office compliance, visa processing and sponsor licence applications, making immigration faster, simpler and more accessible for everyone.
Backed by Entrepreneur First and Backed.VC, we’re scaling fast and in 2026 expanding into new sectors and markets to further accelerate our growth.
Also, around 25% of our workforce is sponsored, and we proudly offer visa sponsorship as part of our hiring process.
🔥 Role: Product Operations Manager
We’re looking for a Product Operations Manager to lead operational automation across Borderless. This is a high-impact role designed to reduce manual work, optimise processes, and deliver operational efficiencies while deploying innovative AI and automation tools.
You’ll work closely with the Product Lead, Ops Engineer, and Product Manager to understand workflows across the caseworker and operations teams and identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale. This is not a traditional operations role — you will experiment, innovate, and move fast to build the future of operational excellence.
🚀 Success Definition
6–12 Month Outcomes:
Automate key operational workflows to reduce manual errors and cost to serve
Shorten time to value for processes across the business
Own a roadmap of operational automation and agent deployment
Top 3 Priorities:
Use AI and automation to achieve the following:
Reduce manual errors
Reduce cost to serve
Reduce time to value
90-Day Ramp:
30 days: Deeply understand workflows and ship initial automations/quick wins to reduce manual effort
60 days: Scale automation output (multiple automations/agents live), address key bottlenecks, and improve core processes
90 days: Deliver clear, measurable efficiency gains (cost, time, errors reduced) and take full ownership of the automation roadmap
🧠 What Great Looks Like
You’ll excel in this role if you combine innovation, technical aptitude, and operational ownership:
2+ years in automation, product ops, or similar roles
Strong systems thinker; able to design solutions, not just implement them
Urgent and fast-moving: shipping 5–10 automations/agents per week
AI-forward, comfortable experimenting with new tools (e.g., Claude Code, Make, Replit etc)
Hands-on, able to work directly with engineering and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Owns operational efficiency: reduces manual errors, cost-to-serve, and time-to-value
Embedded in caseworker and ops workflows; responsible for measurable improvements
Nice-to-Haves:
Background in product, engineering, or operations
What we are not looking for:
Traditional, incremental operations mindset
Resistant to experimentation or rapid iteration
Not leveraging AI or automation as core to the role
